Always keep in mind that insurance companies are in the business of making money by closing claims. The longer a claim stays open, the more money it’s costing the insurance company. Insurance companies save tons of money every year by throwing their own claimants under the bus. They do this by determining their own policyholders are the majority at fault in an accident, right off the bat.
Oftentimes, insurance company representatives will not do their due diligence when investigating car accidents because it’s time-consuming, and thus, costly. It’s much easier and more profitable for insurance companies to close claims by blaming accidents on their own policyholders and then raising their premiums as a result.
You Don’t Have To Go It Alone

You are legally bound to the words you say to the insurance company regarding your claim, but your attorney is not. The law says that anything you tell the insurance company may be used against you later, but that’s not necessarily the case if your attorney speaks to the insurance company for you.
